12 ODM MPs from Western Kenya Decamp to President Uhuru and DP Ruto party;CORD caught unaware.
Things are not rosy in Raila’s ODM and CORD. More than 12 MPs from the Western Kenya have declared allegiance to the Uhuru and Ruto government in the run up to the 2017 general election.
Led by Ababu Namwamba, who is the secretary general for ODM, MPs Benjamin Washiali of Mumias East, Dan Wanyama of Webuye West, John Waluke of Sirisia, Reginald Wanyonyi of Bungoma Janet Nangabo of Trans Nzoia and Robert Pukose of Entebes there support for the Jubilee government in quest for development has not changed and still stands to date.
There activities in ODM have dwindled where they have abandoned most of ODM PR activities, of recent being the anti IEBC demonstrations in there counties and here in Nairobi.
First to go on record in support of the Uhuruto’s Jubilee is Benjamin Washiali alongside Emmanuel Wangwe who is the Member of Parliament for Navakholo and Ikolomani Member of Parliament Benard Shinali who publicly declared that in 2017, if any Luhya legislator sought reelection on a different party that is not Jubilee, he would not make it to the August house.
Jubilee has however, for long, been met with opposition from the region in some recent months despite the fact that the jubilee administration has been making some inroads.
ODM secretary General Ababu Namwamba recent entry into Jubilee is also making it easier for the Uhuruto duo to join the wagon.
It is only a matter of time and all will be set. The MPs might definitely face some opposition from some quarters bearing in mind some are elected on parties that are not friendly to Jubilee due to some unknown reasons.
The support from water cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Bungoma, former minister Musikari Kombo, and undying support from Noah Wekesa is also a big plus for the jubilee as new legislator join the wagon.
