This is possibly your lengthiest holiday this far. Staying in bed until noon, watching television until 5am and hanging out with your friends might seem cool, nevertheless, you need to do something more fruitful.
This is a period that can turn your life around if used well.
The first thing you can do is to grow your talent and follow your passion. Nowadays people are living good lives thanks to their talents.
For example if you are talented in playing football you can enroll in a football academy and join a football club.
The earlier you nurture your talent the better for you .It’s not too early to build a brand and the earlier you do the better for you.
Secondly, you can pursue a professional course. For Instance if you do not have computing skills you can take a computer course such as International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL),
Those interested in courses like accounts you can pursue CPA but be careful because you can pursue a course and you take a completely different field in campus and thus it will have been a waste.
Thirdly, think economic empowerment. Small projects like farming, animal rearing, baking, photography etc.
Can earn you so much cash. Who knows before April you could be supplying produces to your local market for example.
You can be a tuition teacher to high school students or perhaps a teacher when schools reopen in January, cyber attendant, MPESA attendants and more.
There is so much you can do for economic empowerment; Kenya is a land of opportunities.
Fourthly you can join youth groups and get access to opportunities from the government such as Uwezo funds for loans and access to government procurement opportunities and register companies.
If you begin this this early you it can just turn out to be your main hustle. It’s profitable!
Do not forget to give back to the society, plant trees, help in environmental conservation, mentor someone and just be instrumental in everything that affects the society.
There is so much you can do and it cannot all be said in this article.
