Yego, popularly known as the YouTube man has travelled all over the world, impressively, maybe following his golden palm that holds the Javelin handle.
He has ruled the Common Wealth Championships, African athletics competition and the Olympics.
With an African Athletic gold medal throw of 92.72m, the YouTube man is the only Kenya to have won in the world championships, not only winning but scooping a gold medal in the field event.
Born in cheptonon – saba river location, Tinderet constituency in the larger Nandi county, formally Nandi district in the former Rift Valley province, he schooled in the mercurial Kapsabet Boys highschool.

He grew having interest in field events a norm that made him delve into youtube watching of the then top athletes such as Jan Zelezny AND Andreas Thorkildsen.
Yego followed his dream until he earned himself a call up to the national team that represented Kenya in Africa Championships that took place in the year 2012 which were in Kenya’s Capital Nairobi.
Yego has taken part in tens of world and African evnt, although his breakthrough moment came when he hit a 91.39 record per at the British Grand Prix in Birmingham where he by passed his arch rival Vesely in the last round.
The 1989 born Kenyan athlete is a senior police officer with accolades on his name in field events all over the world despite having been born in a humble remote village.
Yego is not only a Kenyan hero but a world icon that deserves a presidential award to recognize him.
