Jomo Kenyatta University Students Organization JKUSO Politics are headed west as student politicians warm up for the elections that are due early next.
Political heat at JKUAT is more likely as members of parliament are said to be weighing in to influence the outcome, according to our correspondents.

Cleophas Muthama, an award winning blogger and entrepreneur is set to contest for the secretary general position in the coming JKUSO elections early next year. Our team caught up with him as he puts his things in order to ready himself for the challenge.
Muthama expressed his bid in a dinner he organized for his friends at the prestigious Gelian Hotel in Machakos last Friday. In attendance were four Ukambani politicians and business men who contributed close to 367,000 shillings to help finance his campaign.
Muthama has been active in JKUAT politics due to his social media marketing and branding skills, he is remembered for campaigning for a number of candidates in the last elections.
He has a team of 13 digital marketers which he uses to campaign for politicians in national politics. The team is also set to campaign for a number of candidates who have already contracted them.
We requested an interview with the “Senator” and declined saying this matter was only at early stages and didn’t deserve any media attention.
Sources close to him disclosed that the 8 point agenda the campaign is based on was ready and he is now ready to transform the union, serving students and ending corruption which he says is his call.
