Daggers are now drawn as two Kikuyu stations head to a grueling airwave battle after the return of Karungo wa Thang’wa, whom before he joined politics was popular in his country music debut at Kameme FM.
The politician, now a radio presenter, has now a shoulder to lean on with his new show after a loss in the just concluded general election where he lost his senatorial bid.
He is back with Gukena Country which will be airing from 12pm to 4PM on Sundays at Radio Africa owned Gukena FM.
More interesting is the fact that fans of kikuyu radio stations have already started to weigh in between the Inooro FM Ngogoyo show which is broadcasted at the same time by Kamau wa Kang’ethe at Royal Media Services’ owned radio Inooro FM.
Karungo is said to be among the best country radio presenters in Kikuyu with Kameme FM’s Gathaiya Dennis still enjoying his moments for Kameme Country on Sunday nights.
