Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is now demanding Sh7.7 billion from the Kenyan government.
According to a statement by its secretary general Edwin Sifuna, the party has not received any money from the ex-checker for the last six years.
The party is accusing the national treasury for allowing their share to accrue. By Law, only Jubilee and ODM qualify to get finances from the exchequer.
ODM had earlier taken the Jubilee government to court and it was awarded Sh4 billion by the court of which the treasury was ordered to pay.
However, owing to the frosty relationship with the Jubilee government, the party has never received the share of the money.
ODM is now taking advantage of ODM leader Raila Odinga bromance with President Uhuru Kenyatta to make things done.
