President Uhuru Kenyatta held a high profile meeting on Monday evening, after arriving back to the country silently from Italy where he has been over the weekend.
According to a communication by State House, president Uhuru Kenyatta met together with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions through their head DPP Noordin Haji.
The Head of State has noted that Kenyans need to be convinced that they can trust different institutions in the country and hence asked the dpp to ensure that results are seen by all Kenyans.
“Confidence is a fleeting thing. If people don’t see results, that confidence can also evaporate. It is therefore important that results are also shown so as to justify the investments we are putting in,” he said.
President Uhuru kenyatta noted that investors will be convinced if they see that the institutions are working and progress is notable through free and fair investigations into different issues in the country.
He commended the office of the directorate of public prosecutions and through the leadership noting that they had achieved tremendously in the two years that they have been in office.
President Uhuru Kenyatta also commended Noordin Haji for having considered the young people through training and counsel and most especially those who are qualified in the legal profession.
