A showdown is expected in the Court of Appeal as those that ensured the BBI in High Court is declared null and void, will try once again in the Court of Appeal, to have the High Court ruling upheld after BBI promoters petitioned the ruling.
And now, the BBI appeal has taken a twist after the Court of Appeal slapped the BBI promoters with new demands, after certifying the appeals filed against the High Court ruling as urgent.
The Court of Appeal has now ordered the petitioners to file and serve their petition documents, as they wait for the Court of Appeal new President Judge Musinga to constitute a bench that will hear and determine the appeals.
Among those who filed for petitions include BBI Secretariat headed by Junet Mohammed and Denis Waweru, Attorney General Kihara Kariuki, IEBC and other parties.
The order also said that the petitioners should present their submissions within three days thereafter. The Appeal Court also added that the submissions by each petitioner should be limited to three pages only.
